I will keep my body moving even if I’m not
counting out reps or watching a countdown clock.
I will recognize that sweat sweated without purpose
can be every bit as beneficial as a
precisely planned workout.
I will make every effort to keep a smile on my face,
a spring in my step and a bright attitude
as I go through my day.
I will try to keep in mind that routine
doesn’t necessarily have to be… routine.

Out of town again this weekend; hope internet
doesn't run out of pictures of cute baby animals.

ReplyDeleteAnother winner Jack. Thank you for, once again, reminding me and motivating me; I'm so glad I found your blog. Would like to have met you in person (if I had discovered Roni's FitBloggin' 2012 in time to plan to attend). I know you'll be a great addition to that platform!
ReplyDeleteFor me, my commitment about moving is twofold: One, I move as much as is possible (meaning, for example, I take the stairs instead of the elevator - I know...so un-American!) and, two, I make moving as fun as possible by telling myself better feeling stories about it and making it a game. It really works for me.
At this point in my life, after practicing quantum physics for this long, I can honestly say that 80% of my weight management (keeping off the roll I used to have) is really done in my mind. Cool stuff.
And, no, my "crazy" blog-posting-title (Why Quantum Physicists...") ain't a spambot! Ha, ha!
Keep on keeping on, Jack! You are appreciated!
Yet another great post. You have such a great outlook on life and that is truly the key to succeeding in what you want to do.
