I ADORE THAT QUOTE (she shouts) For me, today, it is all about the making time to focus and in my own irreverent way PRAY. To remember that praying or meditating doesnt change things---it changes ME and *I* change things.
Wow, I really needed to read that today, thanks. Having a really down day as I can't exercise due to an injury, but your post reminded me it's today, not forever, and doesn't mean the last 11 months are about to go down the pan unless I let them.
Great post! It can take only one bad day to lead to a bad, well forever, if we let it. Although difficult never let one setback be the catalyst for a downward spiral. We need to pick ourselves up by the bootstraps, dust ourselves off, and get back on the proverbial horse. We can do it!
Thank you so much for this today - been kinda struggling and making bad choices (got lots of family from out of town in and just had a family wedding!) and this message come to me at a great time. Just when I need to hear it!!
Wow, best line ever! I think I may make that my new motto. Jack, you impress me with your creativity and wordsmithing! Oh, yeah, and your kick-butt weight loss, too!
I tried to listen Jack, but all I could hear was the raspberry bullets covered in white chocolate. Luckily the store was closed so I checked in here instead. Turned out it was a better option.
I like the quote at the end. When I'm having a rough day at work, or at the gym, I always try to remember that rough days have ends, and tomorrow can bring anything I choose it to. Thanks for the reminder.
And sometimes God sends a big fat unhappy depressed person to try and shake you off your ground, but all it does is make you thankful you're not like that anymore. Have a good day!
I am just beginning and had 3 bad days in a row (including today). Before I read this, I was at the point of saying, that's it, I am always going to be fat. Now, I say, hm, 3 bad days, oh well, I start back as of this moment.
Now there's a valuable life lesson. Thanks, Jack. Great stuff, as always.
