Welcome back to "Same Old Sh*t" Saturday, the place where retreads rule! This one strikes a chord for me because I really am addicted to this weight-loss blogging business. I spend way too much time fooling around with it, even though I do get an awful lot out of it as well. How about you? How many of these sound like you?
- Spouse knows easiest way to get hold of you is to leave a comment.
- No one can eat until you’ve got the whole meal on the table and you’ve taken pictures of all the dishes.
- You pay your internet bill before your rent or mortgage.
- You forgot your child’s birthday, but you remembered to update your weight loss ticker.
- Your vacation plans center around hotels that have high-speed wi-fi.
- You can do a “word verification” in point three seconds.
- You know what at least six people you don't know had for breakfast.
- You’d rather lose a filling than lose a follower.
- Anytime you see a photograph, you ask “Is this the before or after pic?”
- You ask your doctor if he can give you something for “blogger’s block”?
- You take a spectacular dump and think “I’ve got the subject for my next post…”
- You get slightly aroused fiddling around with your blog layout.
- You’ve started LOLing instead of laughing.
- On Saturdays, you feel a little dead inside.
- You hit “refresh” to see if anyone has left you a comment while you were reading the last comment someone left you.
- You've already blogged about this post.
LOL...OMG yes! So freakin true! I get up grab my smartphone (which I got a month ago so I could FB and blog 'On the go'! ) And now my alarm just went off and I grabbed my phone and checked for comments and am now reading peeps blogs LOL!! Ok so I'm a blog-aholic! And erm, I only got 3 followers but I did a little joy dance for all of 'em when they appeared! :)
ReplyDeleteI so want that shirt.
ReplyDeleteTruer than I'd like to think!
Hello, my name is Tigerlilly and I'm a blog-aholic. :) Is there a support group?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be in blog withdrawl over Thanksgiving when we go up to Estes Park. I don't think there's internet where we're going. I don't know if I can talk my husband into taking the laptop. I guess I'll just have to focus on being thankful. Novel idea.
ReplyDeleteI "LOL" quite a lot in real life now....oh dear! And I do find myself thinking "What would [such and such] eat?!" when I'm trying to put a meal together.
ReplyDeleteI am addicted.
ReplyDeleteAs I read I could relate to a scary number of those....oh No!
ReplyDeleteThis was fantastic...am pleased to say...am NOT an addict!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows not to DIG in till I snap some pictures! lol
ReplyDeleteHaving a blog is also a great way for the family to read about what is for dinner later....Sean told my friends that is why he likes it! haha!
*I did my little dance! :)*
ReplyDeleteThanks Jack ;)
LOL! Loved these and I am addicted. My kids are always rolling their eyes when I take pictures of the food.
ReplyDeleteYes! I can't tell you how many cold meals I eat because of all the picture taking! I love it, though :) It's definitely an addiction!
ReplyDeleteAnd I loathe word verification. I don't think it does much of anything and it's so annoying (although some of the words are hilarious- I actually got "fart" one time)! I adjusted my setting to turn it off my blog!
Yep..several of these apply to me.
ReplyDeleteHi Jack. Yes, I never imagined I would know the bowel movements or TOMs of so many strangers! Blogging truly is incredible ...
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Bearfriend xx
It is amazing what we know about people we don't really know. This is an amazing group of folks. :)
ReplyDeleteCrap, this is so friggin funny & true!!!!!!! I best take a look in the mirror & re-evaluate! Well, I have been doing that lately anyway. Should I do less posts, should I stop for a while.... my house is so dirty cause I blog rather then clean! Yes, I know that most people would want to do that anyway but at some point, the house screams back at you in a very bad way!!! :-O
ReplyDeleteWow, it's like you're in my head!
ReplyDeleteWhenever something really strange or exciting happens you think
ReplyDelete"I am totally blogging this'...then you start composing in your mind. lol.lol.lol.
lol.
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteSo so sad but true. Blogging...better than crack and way more addictive!
ReplyDeleteguess i should stand in line...
ReplyDeleteI compose blog posts as I'm falling asleep. I never actually write and post them, but I compose a lot! lol
ReplyDeleteThis is too funny... and so very true. You hit the nail on the head.
ReplyDeleteIt took me all day to get to your post - I was too busy updating my ticker and taking pictures of my latest new bras for my blog. And, of course, thinking up great posts in the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, if you want to know what I had for breakfast, I already blogged about that.
Yep, I'm addicted! Oh, and I had scrambled eggs with gruyere cheese and a sweet chicken sausage. It was tasty.
ReplyDeleteTee Hee *S* That's awesome
ReplyDeleteAs usual, full of truth. Hilarious! :) <3
ReplyDeleteThat's funny!
ReplyDeleteI used to be seriously addicted to the blogging thing. But now FaceBook has taken over and i think that's worse coz that's not productive at all!!
Ha ha! I really do pick my hotels based on whether they have wi-fi or not! LOL (and yes, I've started LOLing instead of laughing. I did it to my mother in a text message, and she was like, "WTH?"
ReplyDeleteHow about: Your required Quarterly Report at work includes photographs, a comment section, labels and ends with "Woot!"
ReplyDeleteHahahaha so true on almost every point! Great post as always Jack :)
ReplyDeleteHilarious.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I haven't blogged about it yet--I'm gonna Tweet it instead.
Now Twitter presents a whole new level of time-sucking insanity... be very afraid.
So many can identify with this one! Love the
ReplyDeletet-shirt!
I know a year ago my computer wasn't the first thing I was grabbing in the morning.... Now it's the last thing I see at night and the first thing I grab in the morning! Amazing what can change in a year. Makes you wonder what next November brings! Maybe I won't need a man at all!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Juli, The Right Bite ;)
a favourite post definitely!
ReplyDeleteSo funny. Love that you start LOLing instead of laughing. You keep me laughing for sure!
ReplyDeleteHey Jack, I love your blog, man!! You're talking my language, at least what I'm thinking. Major props!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Jack! Many of those ring true for me but I hate the LOL!!! I never use it. But I would love to have that t-shirt. Could you send one of those to my house? Thanks!
