Go to Hell, Scale!

It’s my birthday weekend, and birthdays and weigh-ins go together like peanut butter and mayonnaise.

So… no numbers today, just some gratitude for everyone who’s sent me birthday well-wishes via blog comment, Facebook wall posting, tweet, card, singing telegram or phone call. I appreciate the love.

Next week, I’ve got a date with my scale, but tonight my wife Anita’s taking me out for my birthday dinner and we plan to celebrate in style. I’m not getting older, I’m getting better!*

*Check that… I ran the numbers and apparently I AM getting older. Sorry to put bad information out there like that…

  3. Happy birthday. There's no point getting fit so you can live life to the full if you don't enjoy the special days. So make the most of it and enjoy every second and then back to the healthy life tomorrow!

Yes, stay away from that scale today - consider that a birthday command! Now go eat some cake for goodness sake...

  8. I have a friend who eats peanut butter and jalapeno sandwiches. How to build a scale metaphor around that? Anyway, birthdays are all about "fuggits." So, Happy Birthday!

  12. When I was in first grade I had this neighbor kid who was younger and that exited kind of kid who wants you to be his friend and caters to you and gets all exited. His name was Edmund. He was all excited that I could stay for lunch. He said that his mom is making his favorite. Peanut butter and mayonaise. Seriously...I take it and find out how as a 1st grader, I had a necessity to be polite. I did not eat it, but as soon as they were not looking, I tossed it over the backyard fence. Edmund asked me if I wanted another. I said, I like that one so much I ate it all up, but now I am full, thankyou.

  16. Looks like you are doing amazing on your weight loss journey, down 30+ lbs?? I don't think you should worry about the scale too much.

I'm trying to start my journey to lose 40+ lbs.. Not great on the whole snacking area... Today fitness pal is my friend though... It's a new beautiful day!
Great job on your successes and funny website...And Happy B-day.
