Ways Dieting Is Like Going Back to School

  • Carefree days are over.
  • Getting into new clothes soon.
  • People noticing you’ve changed a lot since they last saw you.
  • Kind of scary and exciting at the same time.
  • Causes big change in your routine.
  • It’s important to learn subtraction.
  • You know the weeks to come are gonna bring plenty of tests.
  • You’re just not sure where all the time went.
  • It’s easier to get started if you have a plan.
  • This year, you know it’s going to be harder than last year.
  • Success comes when you do all your work and assignments.
  • Chance to make new friends.
  • Endless new possibilities.
  • Hate that you have to get up to the same old thing every day.
  • It’ll be better if you get organized.
  • It’s a small comfort to know lots of others are going through same thing.

  1. I really love this.
    So true.
    So times.
    So fraught with endless possibilities.

  2. Just wrote a blog post about setting new goals....good stuff JS!

  3. Love this! Back to school time is almost like January 1st in my book. New year, clean slate, time to hit it and succeed!

  4. A++! Good luck, bro. I've lost about 40lbs in the last year just by eating mostly what God/Nature provided up til 10 thousand years ago. :)

    Everything Strength

  5. When I was dieting, and now when I watch what I eat I find the absolute best thing is to occupy my idle time with some sort of activity. If I'm sitting there watching TV I'll photoshop a picture so my mind and hands are engaged. I'll go for a walk to get a diet pop because when I'm walking I'm not eating. It's my idle time anyways so instead of watching TV I'll play video games - can't eat with a controller in your hands.

  6. I agree with Donald Wells. All I can think about is graduating!
