New Ways to Incorporate Exercise Into Your Everyday Life

  • 50 lb. coffee mug
  • When driving, change lanes every five seconds to build strong triceps
  • During meeting, drop pen under table; while retrieving it, do twenty push-ups
  • Bathroom stall squats
  • Bring your Abdominizer to church
  • Hire a housekeeper and use the extra time to go to the gym or do your own housekeeping and pay someone to go to the gym for you
  • Take the wheels off your stroller
  • Men: changing clothes over and over can actually burn a significant amount of calories, so each morning, try on a bunch of different outfits before deciding what to wear. Women: keep doing the same you’ve been doing
  • Do leg lifts while getting haircut
  • Did you know that sex can burn over 1,000 calories per hour if you do it on an elliptical machine while holding kettlebells?
  • When you’re taking kids to the park, there are a lot of ways to get in exercise; one way if to leave them there and go meet your personal trainer
  • Park in the fartherest handicap parking space
  • While sitting on couch watching hours of television, quit sitting on couch watching hours of television

    Love the suggestions! Though I think my coffee mug is already approaching 50 lbs given the vast amount of coffee I swill to get myself motivated.

  5. The clothes thing burns more calories if you start throwing shoes and sweaters around and throwing punches at the mirror. The best burn is when you throw your entire closet into garbage bags and haul them out to your trunk to give them away. Clothes weigh a lot.

  10. God knows that bending over to pick a pen off the floor is the closest I came to ever getting an ab work out. Actually turned into cardio as I ran to the bathroom to change my torn pants too.
