You Are Now Leaving Obese City

Weekly weigh-in: 245.9
Loss: 2.0 lbs
Total loss: 45.6 lbs.
Emotion: Relieved

I’ve packed my bags, loaded up my belongings and moved out of my crummy place in Obese City.

That’s right, after my morning weigh-in, my Wii Fit scale has now officially quit calling me “obese” (and I have officially quit calling it a “dumb b*tch”)

When I began this journey, moving my little Wii dude out of that “obese” range seemed like a pie-in-the-sky goal, too far away to even realistically consider. But time and focused commitment make excellent carpool partners, and today I stand before you a new man. An “Overweight” man, to be sure, but a new man nonetheless.

So goodbye forever, Obese City.

It’s a terrible place to visit, but I sure wouldn’t want to live there.

  2. Congratulations, man. I think I found those 2 pounds you lost. They're on my @ss. Let me know if you'd like them back. Stupid pounds.

And congrats on being "overweight" instead of "obese." I always hate that little voice saying "that's obese."

    You're doing awesome.

  7. Congratulations! I hope to move out of Obese City on my Wii Fit one of these days...but at my short stature, it's taking forever! Did your Mii get thinner?

  8. Woo Hoo! Congrats! You're doing so great! I can't wait till my wii stops telling me the obvious! I get tired of saying "no sh*t" everytime I hear it! lol

  9. I had to go back and check the Mii. Truthfully, I'm not exactly sure if the little b*stard shrunk or not. I kinda think he did, but it's sort of like looking in the mirror. You know there's less of you there but it's hard to see the difference sometimes.

I do know that I was too busy striking muscle-man poses after weigh-in to notice if the Mii changed on the spot (like he does on initial weigh-in).

  10. YES! Congrats on leaving the OC! lol I actually havent checked my weight on there since I ran home with it ( well honestly, I didnt REALLY run) the day the balance board came out and got on it only to have that cr*ppy piece of plastic tell me that I too was obese. I should see what it says now....but Im scared. lol :) GOOD JOB JACK! :)

  12. When I moved from obesity to overweight, it was an event. Who knew being called overweight would bring such elation?

  13. Congrats Jack! You da man. I wanted to smack that wii board thingy when its sad, and somehow disappointed, little voice told me "that's obese". Now I want to go and weigh myself and hear "overweight" instead. What does it say when you are in the "normal" range? "That's average"? Guess I will have to wait to find out!

    Buh-bye Obese City!

  37. Obese City has a wonderful tourism department. They must, Because so many people are lured in and never leave, feeling trapped. Thanks for proving you can move out of this horrible city and on to Healthyville. That's really awesome my friend!

    My best,
    Sean
