When? Every minute of every day, with the understanding that "doing this" will sometimes look different, that it won't always look like we think it should.
What a fabulous post! I needed that this am as I dragged my lazy and oh so sleepy arse outa bed to workout. I can answer with a smile, my time is today.
The sooner the better. Just start moving and before you know it, the motivation will begin to increase and then you'll be doing so well, you won't want to stop. Just deal with today and worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. NOW IS THE TIME!!! thanks for the reminder Jack!
I love this...It is today and everyday. I'm tired of giving my excuses for one more day. I can do it even if I have small slip ups because this is life.
the first when was 8 years ago, met the hubs and we started eating better. less processed, more whole grain..then after baby #1, then again after baby #2...baby #2 is almost 2 and I started bootcamp one month ago. It is kicking my butt, but also making my butt smaller...win-win. Last year I weighed 10 lbs more than I do now...not the fastest weightloss ever, but going in the right direction.
So yet again, it is a long road, always changining, hopefully always improving.
I liked the advice from the FLYLady(.net) who says there's nothing you can't get a good start on in just 15 minutes. To start your exercise program, set your timer for 7.5 minutes. Walk away from your house. When it goes off, walk home.
just wanted to let you know that i feel kind of violated that you would write something personal like that just to me and then post it for the whole world to see. jus' sayin'. ;)
When? Ah...too many "Mondays" too many times. I think my best "when", though was this last (and I do mean last) time around when I started middle of the week right before Thanksgiving holiday season...no planning, just starting. It was a Forrest Gump moment...and for no particular reason...
Best Question EVER! Today and every day after it is my answer...
ReplyDeleteI love this post!!!! I been falling off the Weight Watcher's wagon the past 2 months and TODAY is my day to get back on :)
ReplyDeleteThat really is the big question. I have also fallen in love with today.
ReplyDeleteI love these picture posts you do. :)
ReplyDeleteAs for when..well today is all I can control right now..so TODAY. :D
Wonderful post!
ReplyDeleteI used to be awful about prcratinating. I'd buy clothes too small for me and I'd say they were "to wear when I lose the weight."
Well, I lost the weight finally, but I should have done it a decade ago!
You are good and clever with those note cards Jack......
ReplyDeleteYou really need to stop making me cry with your damn timeliness, Jack.
ReplyDeleteActually, no. No you don't.
good question you pose, Sir Sh*t. One I've been asking myself of late.
ReplyDelete2nd question.. what is that little orange thing beside you??
Excellent. I needed that today. I was going to ask about the orange thing too. You rock.
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea what this meant to me today! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love these picture posts!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love that quote. I'm going to have to keep that around!
LOVE it! Thanks for the motivation :)
ReplyDeleteI'll swing by the garden center and plant a tree today, that should count as exercise, no?
ReplyDeleteAnother great post. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhen? Every minute of every day, with the understanding that "doing this" will sometimes look different, that it won't always look like we think it should.
ReplyDeleteToday! Thanks for the motivation. Work can wait an hour while I go swimming. If it can't, well, too bad, it's going to have to wait.
ReplyDeleteRight Now! Please keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times this is gonna be a WILD ride!
ReplyDeleteGreat question! No time like the present, why put off until tomorrow what you can do TODAY!
ReplyDeleteMaria
Answer: about 8,5 hours ago when I got up this morning.
ReplyDeleteNo better time that this second :)
ReplyDeleteTruthfully, last Saturday. Every day since then too. I'm serious. It was time to get real. Thanks. You were part of the motivation.

If you gotta start sometime why not now?
When, indeed?
For me the answer is NOW!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Jack!
