I’m Sorry, John, Paul and George (but not Ringo)

Less I weigh.
Now health troubles seem so far away.
I like exercise more than I do the buffet.
The better I do, the less I weigh.

Suddenly,
I feel like half the man I used to be.
Choosing health has really been the key.
Then losing weight came naturally.

Why I
Had to grow, I don't know–I couldn't say.
But now
I won’t do wrong, won’t go back to yesterday.

The less I weigh,
The more I have to give, the more I play.
I don’t feel the need to hide away.
The more I believe, the less I weigh.

Now I
Have to blog, I have to do it every day.
Posting
Something new,
The more I blog, the less I weigh.

Less I weigh.
Losing weight’s an easy game to play.
Won’t you come and do it right away?
If you do, then less you’ll weigh.

Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm.

  12. I may record that version with music and replace Tony's interview with it in my blog audio player.

Nope, my wife said no. You're safe.

    Great parody---very nice indeed!

  14. I paid you that $50 back in 1972. Or was it 1973.

I must say you are doing a smashing job with the weight loss. You have over 400 followers. I only had a zillion.

I would love an apology in writing. Thank you handsome!

  17. Well, Ringo is clearly the lamest Beatle, so no apology was necessary.

  19. Jack, I'd like to laugh at your humor because it is PERFECT. But this post is too poignant! Seriously, I memorized the first version. And I think yours is far better. I'm committing to committing this to memory. THIS, my friend, is truth in advertising.

  21. I'd like to have you as a special guest in one of my music classes. My students would LOVE your lyrics. That is one of their assingments...take an existing tune, change the lyrics to reflect the special occasion or what's going on in their lives. Care to come to Canada????

  24. You even got the exact number of mm-mm-mms right! Awesome song, but I am still laughing about yesterday's gym post. You should do a part II on that one.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. As a brand new blogger I really appreciate that.

  28. Do you know this is the #1 most widely covered song in Top 40 history? That was a trivia question that we got RIGHT, cause we rule.

Just to make it fair, you should prolly do a Rolling Stones song too. You can't always eat what you want?
