More Paula Deen Sightings

Last week, professional butter-wrangler Paula Deen announced that she’s been suffering from type 2 diabetes for the past three years.

She acknowledged that a person has “to make changes in your life” but apparently, Deen isn't quite ready for a full-scale nutritional overhaul.

TMZ posted a photo of Deen cramming down a cheeseburger and fries this week while on a Caribbean cruise.

My prediction for future Deen sightings…

• Caught eating fried shrimp right out of an industrial-sized fry daddy in back of Red Lobster kitchen

• Stopped by airport security trying to smuggle gallon jug of boiled custard onto flight

• Discovered hot-boxing a Philly cheesesteak during commercial break of Today Show appearance

• Photographed by grocery store security camera drinking entire bottle of Thousand Island dressing

• Shows up dressed in Girl Scout uniform to pick up 200 boxes of Thin Mints

• Wins “who-can-eat-most-sticks-of-butter-in-10-minutes” bet against competitive eating champion Takeru Kobayashi

• College kid at Taco Bell takes cellphone movie of Paula’s 2 a.m. taco frenzy

• Reportedly slaps a waitress who brings her a side of fresh fruit instead of the bowl of mayonnaise she asked for

• Panicked 9-1-1 call ends up with authorities finding Deen’s unsconscious body in a hot tub filled with rotel dip

  2. LOL. She is now the spokesperson for Springer Mountain Farms chicken and is always on TV here. She looks like one of the toddlers in Tiaras with those weird fake teeth and big hair.

  5. Halle Berry also has type 2 diabetes; I wonder if people criticize her diet like this? If I should ever see Jack Sh*t making the mistake of eating in public while being fat, I will be sure to take a picture and upload it my blog along with comments about how he doesn't take this weight loss thing seriously

  6. I love your blog and I get your sense of humor, but Type II diabetics are people too! Paula Deen has made a career of making food that as I diabetic I should and would never eat, but I eat burgers. They are not a forbidden food on a diabetic diet. As a matter of fact the ADA sends me letters all the time and the envelope usually has a picture of a dry baked potato next to a picture of a brownie and it asks the question which one should you eat? Believe it or not, the answer is the brownie because the dry baked potato is higher in carbs which has a greater impact on blood sugars. Being diabetic doesn't mean that I can never have cake, or fried chicken, or even a hamburger. I love your humor, but poor Paula.

  7. Poor Paula - having made a career of showing us that you can make anything taste good if you add enough butter, sugar and cream - now she has to face up to the fact that this is, indeed, killing us. Hopefully, it won't kill her. but how much damage has she done?
