What Would Happen…

  • If you committed, I mean really committed to this weight loss journey of yours?

  • If you made an honest effort instead of a halfhearted swipe?

  • If you traded those restaurant menus for a little healthy home cooking?

  • If you turned off the TV or computer every so often and did your best to see just how much sweat you could wring out of your body?

  • If you blogged to truly hold yourself accountable?

  • If you made your story something exceptional instead of exhausting, something phenomenal instead of pedestrian, something remarkable instead of run-of-the-mill?

  • If you cornered and killed just one of your bad habits?

  • If you reached deep down and found a gear that you didn't know you even had?

  • If the wind could really catch your sails, are you even aware of the places you could go, the future you could make for yourself?

  • If you simply wouldn't take "I can't" for an answer?

What do you think would happen?

  14. I'd land myself in a psych ward. Again...wait I think you mean rational expectation and healthy lifestyles. No?

Oh. Well, then I would be happier AND more satisfied. Hard things are the most confidence boosting. And that's not crazy at all.

    Crazy? I was crazy once...

  24. Nice! Definitely bookmarking for when I lose the spark.

This week? I feel like I did those things, jump-starting my journey which had gotten a little state over the course of two years. Now, I feel so empowered! I plan on doing more of the same and rocking my way towards goal!

(Until next burn out, at least, when I shall have a copy of this waiting for me! =P)

  34. What an awesome post! I love that you say it like it is.
I have accomplished most of these and had great success because I did what it takes to have what I want.

I am still a work in progress and improving as I go along. It is always nice to have a reminder to keep striving for better!

  35. True and sad all at once. I've done most of those things - blogging, finding that gear i didn't know existed - and it's brought me such a sense of accomplishment and self worth for almost the first time in my life. And it's sad because there are so many out there NOT doing these things - and yet it's still there, somewhere deep inside. The lives that could change if they would just wake up!

  36. Wow Jack, that was just what I needed to hear - to get me thinking in the right direction again. I really do need to buckle down and actually get to work on this. Thank you!
