  2. Wait, you drank tequila w/o me...

Second, I think you're totally right.

  3. Even Hugh Hefner would be jealous of those robes.

  4. LOVE this post! I mean, really love it. :) As a fellow drunk robe purchaser that is...

  5. One of the changes I've just made.. or commitments.. is cutting out the vino. I was drinking too much at night, leading to binges...everytime. I couldn't drink a glass or two of wine without eating.

So.. for now.. no more vino, unless an occasion absolutely demands it.. in which case, i do still always have a choice of sparkling water instead.

    love the robes, you nut.

  7. Now I know how to track you down. Hotel Monaco or Hotel Palomar - fess up, which one?

I have the matching leopard camisole. And the fuzzy socks. Why didn't I think of blogging in these robes?

Say hi to my friend Don Julio!

  10. "You look maaaaaaavelous" as Billy Crystal would say! :-) BUT, I am still wondering what goes on in that mind of yours! You are too funny!!!!

  11. What a great post. Funny as ever, I like the message. Sometimes I live this healthy-living lifestyle like a dictator. I have given up many times when I could have had fun and may have "cheated" a little. I wanted to let loose for one night but my brain would say "NO!" Thanks for reassuring me that it is ok to let go once in awhile (as long as I keep it in check.)

BTW, the robes are super sexy! (no, for real, I LOVE animal print)

    ;)

  15. I fell off my chair(not wagon) just now! Too funny!
You hop back on that wagon now, ya hear!

  16. Any time I drink and have the urge to eat, I do housework instead...even if it's in someone else's house. I figure I'm not going to remember it in the morning either way.

  17. wow...I think you also shopped in the women's department! lol

  18. For me, drinking always leads to too much food. But not to wearing robes. Or anything else for that matter. ~shudder~

  19. I trust that's all you purchased. Tequila is a personality and character eraser that has led to many, um, interesting times in my past.

  20. Good advice about drinking and shopping. ;)

  21. The animal prints bring out your inner caveman. Me like.

    Love,
    Jill

  22. I love those robes!! Well said about falling off the wagon.
That was one lucky homeless person.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hahahahahahahaha.....sooooo funny. You are the best!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think drunk shopping is much better than drunk eating. You can take stuff back to the store, but you can't un-do the eating.

  25. O.K.- instead of trying to come up with something just as clever... I will just tell you that I really needed this the morning/afternoon.

This weekend, my wife and I had some friends come over for dinner. Of course, my friend, being the good friend that he is, brought a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada with him. I already had about 5 Abita beers in the fridge and we went a little off the reservation... including the steaks.

Well, I woke up Sun morning feeling a little regretful... and not in a "I called who" kinda way. I just over indulged in food an drink. Of course alcohol has a way of making you a little depressed anyway and I felt not so great all day Sunday.

But the moral of the story is.... hop back up on the horse... get moving and stay on that trail!!

Thanks!!! As always, I enjoy the blog!

  26. You are so right on all accounts! I'm using that as my motto... "Don't drink and shop."

Just kidding... the other one! "It's okay to fall off the wagon as long as you don't get too far down the road." So very true.

  27. drinking definitely leads me to let my guard down and eat more than i normally would. but you know what, one night won't kill anyone!

  28. I wouldn't want a life without putting my party on once in awhile. I want my cake and eat it too. I want to be able to enjoy ice cream with the kids every once in awhile. BALANCE is the key word.

  29. Hahahahahahahahaha...Love it!

You are awesome. Truly. Wonderfully. Awesome.

  30. Great advice as always Jack. As for me, I prefer the kitty print robe.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Jack,

As good as always. Perhaps you are the robed marauder?

    ReplyDelete
  32. LOL My cats would pick those robes. Maybe. They prefer blue. Honest.

  33. Coolest blog post EVER!!!!!!!
& my my you have a lovely collection of alcohol!

  34. Ok, this is my favourite blog post ever! What a great idea, friggin hilarious and love the robes, lol!

  35. You crack me up. And I don't even believe in riding the wagon, I just walk. I got tired of the damn thing throwing me off and then running me over. The great thing about being off the wagon is that I decide when I want to go and stop. I find that I go more often than not.

    ReplyDelete
  36. HA HA HA HA!!! you're awesome!!! Hysterical!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Those robes are bomb! My advice when drinking is to dance as much as possible to burn off all the empty calories. That's what I do, and it seems to work pretty well.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Thanks for the advice. I needed that.

    P.S. Your robes are sexy.

    ReplyDelete
  39. love this, good job.
Dont fall off the wagon..and don't buy robes while intoxicated.
    Will.stop.now.
    lol.
    have a great night jack.

  40. I *love* this post! This sentiment has saved me from failure many times this go around!

  41. Tonight Jack Sh*t I have fallen off the wagon (hic). Captain Morgan has led me astray!!!

Love the robes, I've just (hic) ordered 2 online much the same :-) xxx

    ReplyDelete
  42. Love it. Cutting loose every once in a while is fine - I personally think it makes life worth living. Making sure the wagon doesn't get too far ahead is the key.

And I love the robes. Maybe you should drink and shop more often!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hilarious with a twist of serious. Make mine dry.

I guess you're the leopard that DID change his spots, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I would so let you get to third base in those robes!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Holy ----! You crack me the hell up! Where did you find those robes?!?? They are HIDEOUS!

    LOL...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hi Jack. Wow! I love your robes! Masculine and yet a little trannified at the same time. Just the look the Bear goes for actually. You've got style sir!

The BIG question is: What are you wearing underneath the sexy robes? The Bear favours lace panties, suspender belt and stockings ...

    Bearfriend xx

  47. Im not a drinker anymore..i used to go out at night, and drink, and then be hungry after. I always thought it was because I was drunk. Now, I go out at night, don’t drink, and I'm hungry after. I think it's just the activity of going out and walking around and possibly dancing, etc that makes ppl hungry, not the alcohol itself. Although drinking can cause people to make poor food choices afterward in an effort to sop up that alcohol (and as a result of deadened taste buds), when they might have eaten something better sober. And the robes..hmm..
