Slow and Steady
Weekly weigh-in: 261.3
Loss: 1.3 lbs
Total loss: 30.2 lbs.
Emotion: Slow, Steady
Slow and steady may win the race, but it sure makes for a sorry spectator sport. All my good food choices this week seemed to have an asterisk beside them. I didn’t eat as much as I could have*, limited the amount of alcohol I drank**, and didn’t pig out once.***
*Ate more than I should have
**Drank alcohol
***Didn’t dig in and increase my workout intensity
Still… a loss is a loss, and I’ll take what I can get. Time flies, so even a pound…a half pound…a quarter of a pound… if I can just keep on keeping on, things will work out okay in the end. It’ll be, as the Queen of England so often says “all good in the hood.”
In the long run it all adds up - keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI think your doing great! We all have big week, small week and occasionally a gain.
ReplyDeleteGot keep it a "glass half full" mindset! Have an awesome Memorial Day weekend!
it all adds up! Im the queen of slow weigh loss so I would know. lol
ReplyDeleteOkay, maybe you could have done things differently. Alas you are human :) But at least your journey is going in the right direction!!
ReplyDeletethose little losses add up..congrats on the loss this week!
ReplyDeleteA loss is a loss, and that's a decent one (insert spiel about the slower you lose the more likely you are to keep it off etc, etc).
ReplyDeleteAbout the corn snake, that was sweet of you! My dad brought me home a new guinea pig, after a guy he picked to house sit, let my guinea pig die of dehydration (well it wasn't quite dead when I got home) because he didn't mention that he was deathly afraid of it. Good story, no? Ah, memories.
Slow & steady is all I know. Is there another way? Conrats on losing more than 30 pounds. A low sodium V-8 toast to you!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on that loss. And might I also add that the turtle in the pic is kind of scary looking.
ReplyDeleteDown is down and that is goooood! I think the tortoise is cute - bet he is skinny under his shell as he loves his veggies!
ReplyDeleteThat turtle has the face of a true jerk. Either way, losing slow gets pretty boring so I quit a lot. Try not to be like me! (best advice you will ever get.) :)
ReplyDeleteHey 30 lbs in 6 weeks is not slow. . . pat yourself on the back!
ReplyDeleteI agree that 30 pounds in 6 weeks seems pretty sweet! Color me green with envy! =)
